Serengeti Safaris

One of the most famous national parks on earth.  The great Serengeti plain is home to such an incredible quantity and diversity of wildlife, that you're senses will be overwhelmed.  Here you can see the Wildebeest Migration, where the million-strong wildebeest herds move across the Serengeti in search of grazing territory.  Zebras, hartebeest and gazelles follow them for protection.  As they pass through the territories of lion prides, hyenas, cheetahs and leopards, the predators will take their pick of food.

Optional Balloon Ride:  It is a magical experience to watch the sun rise over the Serengeti from a hot air balloon.  Complete with a champagne breakfast, this is a once in a lifetime treat.

The Serengei National Park

Located near the vast inland sea of Lake Victoria, and forming part of the unique ecosystem of the world famous Serengeti National Park, the reserves cover an area of almost five thousand square kilometres. Untouched by other tourism or development, they remain a sanctuary of unspoilt African wilderness bursting with an incredible variety of wildlife species. The limited number of visitors to the reserves will enjoy a safari which is undoubtedly one of the most authentic, private and most exciting experiences that it is possible to enjoy.

Accommodation in the reserves is in small, permanently sited camps, with spacious ensuite tents erected on wooden platforms with verandahs overlooking the endless plains of the Serengeti, designed and located for privacy. The camp ambience is one of days gone by, when a safari was an adventure but one not to be taken without 'home comforts' such as a personal tent valet, attending to a guest's every need, and excellent food served by lamp-light on fine china, silver, crystal and damask. Picnics and 'alfresco' meals in the bush ensure that a good days's exploring and game viewing is not interrupted by having to return to camp.

Each guest is encouraged to plan the safari of their choice. Rising early to marvel at the sunrise, or just enjoying the sounds of the bush from a comfortable bed; game driving in the specially designed open-sided 4WD vehicles or walking accompanied by a professional guide, armed game scout and tracker; taking a night safari or an excursion to Lake Victoria for fishing or even a hot air balloon trip. In fact guests can experience this natural wilderness on their own terms doing as much or as little as they please

The Serengeti can be experienced comfortably in 3 to 5 days.
